Organizational ethics and sustainability in organizational management: A philosophical perspective

Abstract

The aims of this paper are to study the factors that contribute towards the negative aspects of digitalization on human lives in professional contexts. Given the growing body of research on organizational ethics and substantiality in organizational management, this paper presents a systematic literature review of 30 studies from a context of developing country, to determine the antecedents of organizational ethics along with strategies to control the behavior. A total of 30 studies from different countries were selected via robust protocol and evaluated through content analysis. The findings of this study summarized several factors related to organizational ethics into two broad constructs including individual and organizational facets that gives a clear outlook on behaviors linked with positive aspects of organizational ethics, mainly with a context of organizational ethics. Results are further used to assimilate thematic gaps from different classical and current theories perspective. The novelty of this paper rests in the antecedents identified from past researches, and suggested to functional managers in understanding the kind of circumstances that leads to organizational ethics and substantiality in organizational management to prevent the negative consequences in future.
